Basho is one of the greatest unknown musicians of the last century. Now, thanks to the internet and digital media (and hopefully this website),
Robbie's music is reaching a worldwide audience.
German guitarist, Steffen Basho-Junghans has his own site dedicated to Robbie. While BlueMomentArts / Basho Archives is more of an all out database and archive for fans, we would like to make this site more of a consolidation of the key points in Basho's career, in addition to offering frequent updates and news. Please bare with us, as this site is still in it's infancy. We'll be continually adding new content all the time. Be sure to stay tuned.
With help from fans around the world, this site has limitless potential. The mantra is to start a Basho Revolution, similar to what happened for many of the pre-war blues musicians during the folk revival of the sixties. History has shown that many great visionaries were not understood in their time. Robbie Basho was no exception. As time goes on however, people are beginning to re-discover the plethora of material he released throughout the course of his life, and as the historical dust begins to settle, we're now seeing the great influence he was for the advancement of the concert steel string guitar.
Robbie Basho was a poet, a guitar master, and truly had a voice like no one else. Let's not let this name be forgotten!
